Diamond Valley Cubs

The Diamond Valley Cub Pack is rich in history and culture beginning in its humble traditions with the Grand Howl and Flag Break. It is a greeting to their Leader and a challenge for each Cub Scout to do their best to keep the Cub Scout Promise.

Our Cub Scout Leader Lyn, known within the group as Akela (Wolf) is the head of the Pack. The Pack meets every week on a Tuesday evening from 7pm until 8.30pm when the jungle beasts lay to rest for another week.

Activities vary each week and have themes to them such as dress up nights, Olympics and Arts and Craft. If your child is in the age bracket of 7 to 10 ½ promote us, the original outdoor educators.

Diamond Valley Scouts

The Scout section heavily promotes leadership, teamwork and independence. Guided by trained and qualified leaders the troop at Diamond Valley Scout Group has every opportunity to excel and succeed in achieving awards and badges whilst building on self confidence and the importance of friendships.

The Troop is privileged to have a former Baden Powell awardee, Mark as their Scout Leader, Mark who is known as 'Bear' to his youth members has a long association within the group and the scounting movement.

The troop aged between 11 and 14 ½ meet every week on a Thursday Night between the hours of 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

Watsonia Venturers

The Venturer Unit is very proud to host other scout groups from the Nillumbik-Whittlesea District including Viewbank, McLeod and Bundoora and shares programs with 1st Plenty.

The Watsonia Venturer Unit is rich in diversity where different personalities come together as young teenagers turning into young, modest adults adventuring into the world of independence, discovery and leadership.

Venturers is about forming connections with oneself and the community by giving time and service to the unit and community through the Unit Council, where decisions are made by the venturers themselves.

The Group is very humbled to have two veteran leaders in Cliff and Greg on board after many years. The unit meets on a Friday evening from 7.45pm until 9.45pm where the experience changes a child from an immature 14 year old to a polite wild human at the age of 18.

Cleve Cole Rovers

Rovers meet as a Crew and participate in a variety of activities. These activities offer you the opportunity to mix socially, push yourself physically, challenge yourself mentally and develop spiritually.

The Crew compiles their own program, transports themselves to camps and weekly meetings and conduct meetings by themselves.

The Cleve Cole Rover Crew meets on a Tuesday night between 7.30pm and 9.30pm for the ages between 18 and 26. The crew receives ongoing support and mentoring from Craig as the Rover Adviser.

Cubs

Cub Scouts are boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 10 ½. The objective of the Cub Scout program is to provide a group environment which is intellectually stimulating, physically vital and directed towards satisfying the child’s basic need to face and overcome lifes challenges.

Scouts

Scouts is for young people aged between 10½ and 15 years. At this point in their lives Scouts show great enthusiasm for activities that give them a sense of achievement and follow their special interests with intensity. Trained Leaders use these characteristics to help make Scouting an experience in which young people gain character developing qualities while having fun.

Venturers

Venturers is for young people between 14 to 18 years of age. The program is flexible allowing members to choose activities according to their own interests. A group of Venturers who meet together on a regular basis form what is called "the Unit". Unless, specifically permitted, it is intended that there be no less than 15 Venturers in a Unit.

Rovers

Rovers meet as a Crew and participate in a variety of activities. The Cleve Cole Rover Crew meets on a Tuesday night between 7.30pm and 9.30pm for the ages between 18 and 26.
